Understanding the check valve
A check valve opens with forward flow and closes automatically when flow stops or reverses. It needs no external power or operator.
Choosing the right type matters: swing checks suit clean liquids, dual-plate checks save space and weight, and piston or nozzle checks reduce water hammer in fast-closing duty.
